Hello, I’m Reuben and along with my other 7 health & fitness columnists we form Pearnomore.com! My passion for health & fitness started as a child when my father, a qualified grade 2 track & field coach enlightened me on how to get the most out of my growing bones “physically”. After enjoying a successful track and field career through my early teens I then ventured out to more team orientated sports and participated in Australian Rules football and was fortunate enough to play at both a professional and semi – pro level. It was at this point when I discovered that sports and exercise was where I was most comfortable, so I went about gaining some formal qualifications, two intensive years later I completed my Certificate IV Master Trainer in fitness with the Australian Institute of fitness. Since then I have truely began to undertand the essential role your mental conditioning plays in life and it has been my pleasure to have worked with a variety of organizations like the Australian Football League, the Australian Defence force. Also individuals, ranging from rehabilitating sports men and woman, older age clients, children and just everyday men and woman simply wanting a little more out of their busy schedules!

Look mate I'm sure you're sick and tired of hearing questions like “Pills and diets not working for you? Well try this” I’m sure you are. Once again I’m going to pose you the same question. This time I really want you to think about it… I’m a bold person and I make bold statements, throughout my professional life I have learnt there is no miracle formula for making things happen. Life’s not that complicated and on the topic of health and fitness it is FAR more BASIC than you think!
I want to see things from your perspective, so I will put myself in your shoes, I believe you're searching for that EDGE, I hope you've seen through the utter rubbish out there to do with weight loss, gaining muscle, dieting and increasing cardiovascular fitness just to name a few, because believe me there is a lot of it out there so I'm going to direct my energy into putting you in the right direction. You may ask, why does one fitness program turn one person into a cover girl yet leave me still out of shape clinging to my now ancient teenage figure? Well the answer is EDUCATION.

How can you possibly commit your precious time to a new work-out program if you don’t completely understand it? You need to UNDERSTAND your body, and YOUR limits. I grew up a natural sceptic, worked hard for everything I have and was encouraged to LEARN NOT FOLLOW, therefore when it came time to pay more attention to my health, fitness and well-being I could never grasp the concept of “following others directions” I would say “How can this guy tell me how to eat?” and the truth is he can't! Only I can determine what’s best for MY body, no matter how long someone has been training you, there is NOBODY that knows yourself physically and mentally better than YOURSELF.
I realised this at a young age and invested my time in educating myself to a point where I created my own fitness programs and dieting solutions completely tailored to my needs.
At the end of the day, you're here looking for some answers, It’s my duty to direct you on the right path to that success.
